Here we are 1 week away. The itinerary is as follows.
Leave Knoxville on the 2ND of June
1st stop Hope Arkansas. Then onto Carlsbad and White sands New Mexico, Santa Fe New Mexico, Durango Colorado, Mesa Verde NP, Colorado. Cross into Utah and visit Canyon lands, Arches, Capitol Reef, Bryce and Zion NP. We will move onto Arizona for a short trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Buzzing through Nevada we will stop in Las Vegas for a night at the Venetian and a stop at Hoover Dam. Then into California to visit Sequoia, Kings Canyon, Yosemite National Parks. We will spend a night and a day in San Francisco bay area. Up the Coast of Northern California into Oregon and Washington. We will tour the mouth of the Columbia river and visit some old Coast Guard stomping grounds ( Cape Disappointment) We will follow the Columbia river Near Kennewick Washington we will leave the river behind and travel toward Northern Idaho ( we may just see the Bradleys there). Heading east we will see Montana and go into Wyoming to Yellowstone NP. Driving south we will visit the Grand Tetons. Maybe a further drive south to Dinosaur NP, Colorado and then east to Rocky Mountain NP. Last stop Denver then southeast to home! Not bad for 30 days! Stay tuned to see if we hit all the stops..... Of course all of this is subject to change on a whim.
